Dear Coach:  

Welcome to the 26th anniversary of the Steamboat Mountain Soccer Tournament!  If you have been to our tournament before, then you know all about the fun, competitive atmosphere and beauty that Steamboat and its teams have to offer.  If you have not been to our tournament before, then let us give you an idea of what you are in for!
 
Picture a crisp, clear blue sky morning with the sun just cresting over Mt. Werner lighting up the bright white lines of the 10 soccer fields.  The players are warming up and getting ready for the fun and competitive action that Steamboat’s tournament is famous for.  After their morning game, players and their families pile into their cars to grab some breakfast at any one of our fabulous restaurants and then head downtown for a quick alpine slide.  One more game later and the families are ready for our famous hot springs pool and slides and then out to dinner, again at any one of our excellent restaurants.  And all that in only the first day!
 
There is the gondola to ride with hikes and downhill bike rides to be had.  Don’t forget there is tubing down the river, walks along our river trail and ice cream to be eaten.  Attend the rodeo, go bowling, see a movie and so much more.
 
Having said all this, we invite you to enter your team in our tournament.  We are known for our fun and competitive soccer, our friendliness, a BEAUTIFUL mountain setting with perfect weather and an incredibly fun place for people of all ages to enjoy our numerous outdoor activities.  The competition is open to U11-U18 girls and boys competitive teams and U10 recreational teams, with six (no exceptions) guest players allowed per team. The entry fee is $550 for U11-18 and $300 for U10 (U10 is 8v8).
NOW ACCEPTING PREMIER TEAMS IN AGE GROUPS U11 – U14.
 
All teams are guaranteed 3 games minimum. In 2009, we had 104 teams. Each year we are forced to turn away teams when our tournament reaches the capacity of our fields. We accept teams in the order in which they apply, so early entry is important.  We are known for our emphasis on sportsmanship and encourage teams to apply that have good records.  Medals are given to 1st and 2nd place teams in all age brackets and the team with the best sportsmanship.  Each player and coach receives a tournament program.  Teams who book lodging with our Lodging Sponsors will receive a 2010 Soccer Pass, Deals & Discounts to participating businesses.
 
Nearly all games are within 10 minutes or less from all hotels and other fields as shown on the map and every one of them has a stunning view.
