Fields Brown comes to the Steamboat Soccer Club after spending the last 17 years working at the club, collegiate, and semi-professional level. Brown was the 2014 Tennessee State Soccer Association Competitive Coach of the Year and received the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Regional Coach of the Year. He is currently finishing up his USSF “A” Coaching License. Most recently, Fields was with the Colorado Rapids in an Elite Staff Coach role. Before joining Rapids, Brown held the role as Director of Soccer for Boulder County United, formerly FC Boulder, where he was previously the Director of Operations and a Director of Coaching, beginning his roles from July 2017-August 2021. Originally from North Carolina, Fields graduated from the University of North Carolina- Wilmington with a degree in History. After completing school, he took a job as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Wofford College from 2005-2009, where he also obtained his Master of Arts in Teaching. Fields then took a focus on getting into club soccer full-time, moving to the Atlanta area and working with the Rockdale Youth Soccer Club. While in Atlanta he also was an Assistant at Georgia State University and was the Associate Head Coach of the Georgia Revolution of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), where they were the 2011 Southeast Conference Champions. In the Fall of 2011, he moved on to Knoxville, Tennessee where he would work for four years at the Knoxville Football Club. Holding the roles of Technical Director and later the Director of Coaching, Brown was able to guide the '99 Azzurri to the 2014 National President's Cup Final, as well as the see the club grow exponentially in size and quality. In addition to his role at the club, Fields also was the Director of Operations for the University of Tennessee’s women’s soccer program (2011) and was the Head Coach of the Knoxville Lady Force of the Women's Premier Soccer League in 2012 and 2013. After 4 years in Tennessee, Fields moved to Colorado to take a role with Arsenal Colorado in Fort Collins, where he was an Assistant Director of Coaching, overseeing the u11-14 Girl’s program. It was after two years in Fort Collins that Fields moved to Boulder to take his aforementioned role there. Fields also has extensive experience at the Olympic Development Program platform as well, working at the state level in Tennessee and Colorado. Brown also has experience at the Region ODP level, as an Assistant Coach with the 2005 and 2009 West Region teams.

Originally from Michigan, Jan went to Michigan State University and received a business degree. Most of her career was spent in the hospitality business with Ritz-Carlton Hotels as Director of Human Resources, Director of Public Relations and Marketing, and Rooms Director. After spending time at home with her two sons and husband, Jan started with the Steamboat Soccer Club as the Director of Administration in 2010. She enjoys hiking and traveling.

Coach Hobey has served as Steamboat Soccer Club’s Technical Director since 2008, with his primary role within the club overseeing player development and education. Hobey holds the National, Advanced National, and Goalkeeper Level 1 Diplomas from United Soccer Coaches.  And holds his C license and Grass Roots Coaching Educator License from the US Soccer Federation.  He has worked as a staff member with the West Region ODP programs and his playing career included one year at NAIA school Lindsey Wilson College as well as three years at NCAA Division II school St. Joseph’s College.

Linda is currently the Director of Coaching for the Steamboat Soccer Club.  Before joining SSC as a coach in 2014, Linda coached for Westminster Soccer Club in Denver & coached at Golden High School.
She was the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College (1997-1999). Her 1997 team finished second in the nation at the NCAA National Division II Finals. Linda was named NCAA D II Coach of the Year in 1997 and compiled a record of 35-5-4. Linda was also selected as the 1997 WV Coach of the Year and the 1997,1998, and 1999 WV Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. As a college coach, Linda also had the opportunity to serve on the NCAA D II National Committee, serve as the Div. II Great Lakes Regional Chair, WVIAC Conference Chair, and the Div. II Rankings Committee.
Linda also played 4 years at Wesleyan where she finished 4
th on Wesleyan's all time goals list with 42 goals and 12th for assist. She was also named First Team All-American.
For her achievements as both a player and a coach, Linda was inducted into the WV Wesleyan Collegiate Hall of Fame.
Originally from Dundalk, MD., Linda played for Patapsco High School where her team finished 2nd in the state in 1990. She was named 1st Team All State and Player of the Year. She played Club soccer for Harford United and played MD ODP. Her Club Team won the Maryland State Cup three times.

Kelly Brown, formerly Kelly Labor, returns to Steamboat Soccer Club where she was a player from 1997-2006. Brown graduated Steamboat Springs High School in 2006 and played for the Sailors. Brown then went on to play DII at Regis University and then three years at DI, University of Nevada Las Vegas before she started coaching.  Brown has been a college soccer coach since 2010 and was most recently the head coach of the Division II Regis University Women’s Soccer Team.  Prior to that, Brown spent three years as an assistant coach at the University of Colorado and four years as an assistant coach at Colorado State University.  Brown has also spent nine years in the Olympic Development State, Regional and National programs.  While on staff, she has coached teams through several international tours, tournaments, national training camps and centers, regional camps, and sub-regional events.  Brown holds her NSCAA National and Advanced National Coaching License. She has spent the past 14 years coaching club soccer for all levels and ages and has received numerous Coach of the Year Awards, in 2015 with Arsenal Colorado and in 2019 with FC Boulder and was nominated for Colorado State Youth Soccer Competitive Coach of the Year. Along with coaching, Brown has acted as the College Advisory Program Director and a Sport Psychology Performance Educator. Brown completed her undergrad degree in Psychology in 2010, a master’s degree in industrial organizational psychology with a specialization in leadership development in 2012 and is currently pursuing a second masters in the MBA program at Regis University.
