Does your soccer player wish to play more, train harder, and experience play against teams from outside of Steamboat? This program is designed for players who expect more, want more, and are willing to put in the extra-effort to excel on the soccer field. Your player participates in our Developmental League and this additional program offered on Mondays gives them an extra training day for a taste of what our SSC Competitive Program looks like at U11.

Academy players will participate in the GMIT Border Battle soccer tournament in Grand Junction May 13-14. Tournament fees are included in the registration.

Volunteer Coaches

Thank you to all of our parent and student volunteers who coach our rec teams! This program could not exist without your help, and we appreciate all of the time and energy you commit to coaching.

We will be hosting a US Soccer Grassroots 4v4 Coaching Education opportunity on April 30th, please click here for more information: https://learning.ussoccer.com/coach/courses/available/22/details/12818 or contact our Technical Director, Hobey Early, at [email protected] for more information.

We will also be providing a more SSC specific coaches meeting at the beginning of the season, date TBD to go over tips for structuring your practices, as well as ideas for games and activities. If you do not have any soccer playing experience, don't worry! At this age, it is most important for players to get comfortable with a ball at their feet and have fun!

If you are interested in being a coach please contact Fields Brown at [email protected] At the end of the season, we reimburse registration fees for one coach per team (if your team has two coaches, we can provide half reimbursement for each coach). All coaches must pass a certified Background Check through Colorado Soccer Association.
