Become a Certified Referee!!!
Alpine Bank *NEW* Youth Referee Development Program
A new initiative designed to create leadership opportunities, provide workforce experience, and strengthen youth sports throughout the Yampa Valley. As participation in soccer continues to grow, the demand for trained, confident referees has never been greater. This program addresses that need while providing local youth ages 13–18 with meaningful opportunities to develop valuable life skills, earn income, and become leaders within our community.
If you are 13 years of age or older please consider becoming a certified referee!
Steamboat Soccer Club is constantly in need of more certified referees.
Games pay anywhere between $25 and $95 per game, depending on age and level of game. With possible bonus pay depending on the number of referees.

Looking for support on the field? Take advantage of our Referee Mentor!
Completing the online referee certification is really just the first step. Taking it from online to on the field is the next step. Once you've become certified the only way to improve is to get out and ref! But this can be challenging and intimidating for first time referees. Fortunately SSC has a referee mentor that is more than willing to come out to the fields and help you take your refereeing from online to on the field. Contact either of the following to set up an on site referee mentor opportunity!
