Alpine Bank Grassroots Coaching Education Initiative is a program designed to support, educate, and empower the volunteer coaches who are the foundation of recreational soccer throughout the Yampa Valley.

Each year, dozens of parents and community members step forward to coach youth soccer teams in Steamboat Springs, Hayden, South Routt, and Craig. While these volunteers bring tremendous enthusiasm and commitment, many have little formal coaching education or training. This initiative is designed to provide coaches with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to create positive, age-appropriate, and engaging experiences for young athletes.

Through the Grassroots Coaching Education Initiative, Steamboat Soccer Club will provide U.S. Soccer 4v4 and 7v7 Grassroots Coaching Courses, On-field mentorship, and support from experienced club staff and coaches, and age-appropriate player development training

Resources focused on positive coaching, communication, and creating fun learning environments.

Volunteer coaches have a direct impact on a child's first experience in sports. By investing in coach education, we can improve the quality, consistency, and enjoyment of recreational soccer while supporting the dedicated volunteers who make youth sports possible.
